Amateur A's Win Championship!!
Back-to-Back!!

With a resounding 5-1 victory in the last game of the season, our Amateur A's topped off a great year for our club by winning the Saturday Amateur Division 1 title for the second year running.

Amateur B's Win Championship!!

With 3 games to go our Amateur B team has secured our clubs first ever B team Championship. They have taken an unassailable 11 point lead on the league table with an impressive 13 wins and 2 draws from the 15 games played to date.

Brenton Ashford was previously in charge of our Amateur A's and coached them to a Championship back in 1997. He then took a break from coaching but returned this year to take the Amateur B's.

Vasco Da Gama visits the Adelaide Comets

Our Juniors had more special guests on Sunday. The team and officials from Vasco Da Gama (of Brasil) came to see our boys and girls. Our Under 12 team were lucky enough to be photographed with the Vasco team who were kept very busy signing autographs for both the kids and their parents!

Newcastle United FC visits the Comets

Our Juniors had some special guests come out to watch them play. The team and officials from Newcastle United FC (who are here in Adelaide for the Festival Cup) dropped in to see our youngsters in action. Peter Beardsley took a keen interest in our Under 11's and Under 14's, while the rest of the team seemed to enjoy the Under 8 action. The Newcastle Players and Officials were indeed very friendly, chatting with our parents and kids. Everyone at our club certainly appreciated the visit and wish them all the best in the Festival Cup tournament.

Women's Team Tour of Melbourne

Our Women's Team went on a tour of Melbourne, playing games against various teams including South Melbourne. They played at Bob Jane Stadium which was quite an experience for all our girls. Thanks to Ange who organised this trip which was enjoyed by all players and parents.
