Amateur A's Three-peat!

Adelaide Comets 6 - Hahndorf 1

What was thought to be impossible turned into reality on Saturday when our Amateur A team emphatically defeated Hahndorf by 6 goals to 1 to clinch a third successive Saturday Division 1 Amateur League title. It was a titanic struggle with Adelaide Uni where with one game to go we were level on points, but just ahead on the table by goal difference. Our team had the job ahead of them with a tough last game, away to Hahndorf who are themselves fighting to remain in Division 1.

In difficult conditions our team put on a clinical performance capped of by an inspirational goal by Nick Kritharas. Nicks goal came after we were given an unassailable lead with two goals from Polites, and one each from Giorginis, McCool and Paterson.

Inaugural Life Members

Congratulations to Jim Tsouvalas, Steve Georgiou, Tony Nikoloutsopoulos, Jim Karatzas

Our Senior and Junior Presentation Nights were held on October 10th and 11th with a combined total of over 600 people attending and can only be described as a huge success. A highlight was the presentation of the first ever Adelaide Comets Life Memberships to Jim Tsouvalas, Steve Georgiou, Tony Nikoloutsopoulos and Jim Karatzas. All 4 have been part of the club for 10 years and certainly deserve this recognition.
