With the 2018 National Premier League season kicking-off in mid February, the Adelaide Comets Men have been preparing diligently since pre-season officially began in late November 2017.
As part of the training the Senior Men, U18’s and U20’s will be taking part in in-state and interstate trips.
The Senior Men are set to travel to Melbourne while the U18’s and U20’s will head to the Riverland to play a Riverland Select side.
The Riverland trip will consist of a squad of 30 and provide a great opportunity for the Comets players to bond, train and build relationships with associated clubs.
Under 18’s Coach, Dimitri Panagis, said that the trip is a great opportunity ahead of the 2018 season.
“I am really looking forward to taking the boys over to Renmark,” he said.
“We have been training as one squad since the start of pre-season and the boys are improving every day. It is important to get together as a group and gel; we are going to be training together for a whole season so it helps when everyone gets along and wants to work hard in order to continuously develop themselves.
“We have some serious talent at this club, some of the young players are really doing well and getting the opportunity to train and play with our Senior team, which is a great buzz for them.
“I have to thank George Douplios and Yianni Sialas for helping out and creating this trip for the players. We have a good team here and I am sure the players will enjoy getting away and bonding as a team.”
The Adelaide Comets U18s and U20s will depart for Renmark on Sunday 14 January.
