We would like to welcome our newest life members that were inducted at our recently held Awards Nights for season 2021.
Arthur Skrembos
Arthur joined our club 10 years ago, starting as a Junior boys coach taking the Under 8s. Over the next few years Arthur continued as a coach taking the Under 9, 10, and 11 teams.
Arthur has been on the Comets Board for 8 years, and also been the women’s coordinator for 7 years and is currently a Major sponsor at the club and he has been for several years.
Manuel Kopsaftis
Manuel joined the Adelaide Comets Football Club in 2004 as one of our development coaches for mixed boys and girls 6 -8 year old’s with his son and daughter, Peter & Kaylah who were 6 & 8 at the time. This was when we were located at Kingston Park (Park 23) and operating off one bottled gas hot plate barbecue with basically no club room just toilets.
In 2005 Manuel undertook the coach’s role as the U8 Blue Coach. He then continued to coach mainly the same group of kids through to 2010.
Manuel then returned as a Coach in 2017 with his daughter Kaylah as Manager and 7 year old twin daughters Pamela and Elisia as players for our first Junior U9 Girls Team. This year Manuel has continued to coach and develop the same main core of girls in the U13s. His love for the game and the club can often be seen by the players he coaches and positive feedback from parents.
Crist Gardiakos
Crist has been a member of our club since commencing in 1994. He has been a valued sponsor from 1994 and has continued to sponsor every year with out fail. Both his boys played in our clubs Junior set up and have also contributed to coaching and assisting Junior teams over the last few years.
